Ramzi El Fakhri oversees the Center's financial activities while ensuring compliance with institutional, federal, and other applicable policies.


Mr. El Fakhri has assumed hospital financial and managerial positions since 2015.  As Business Manager at the Massachusetts General Hospital, he managed human resources, balanced budgets for labs and research cores, assisted with audits, created financial reporting tools, aided investigators with their grant proposals, and managed a portfolio of diverse grants, including complex NIH awards.  As Assistant Director for Research Administration at the Brigham and Women's Hospital, he ensured that the Department of Medicine's fiscal, research, and operational affairs, with 1,600 research projects, were appropriately monitored and reported.


Mr. El Fakhri's passion for research administration has led him to become certified nationally in all three areas of grant administration: research finance (CFRA), pre-award (CPRA), and general/post-award administration (CRA).
