The goal of this hybrid (virtual and in-person) course is to train clinicians and scientists in the comprehensive analysis of genomic data. The course delivers a robust curriculum with lectures covering both foundational and advanced topics, including next-generation sequencing, variant analysis, statistical genetics, population genomics, bioinformatics, and epigenetics. Participants will also gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art tools and methodologies employed in genomic studies.
To ensure a comprehensive learning experience, the course integrates practical training projects, conducted remotely under the mentorship of Harvard Medical School faculty. These projects are carefully designed to equip attendees with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively apply genomic data analysis techniques in clinical and research settings. Through this hybrid format, the course aims to develop a new generation of leaders in genomic medicine and research.
This course includes 25-30 lectures covering the following topics:
Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS)
Human Genome and Variants
Proteomics and Structural Analysis
Statistical Genetics and Genomics
Genomic Data Tools and Resources
Population Genetics and Bioinformatics
