There is a
high unmet medical need for patients who may benefit from the development and
access to personalized antisense oligonucleotides (ASOs). This collaboration
between Harvard Medical School’s International Center for Genetic Disease, Mass
General Brigham, and n-Lorem aims to establish translational research and
capacity building to bridge this gap in healthcare globally. n-Lorem is a
non-profit foundation committed to discovering, developing, and providing
individualized antisense oligonucleotide drugs for free for life to patients
who have nano-rare genetic diseases. With this collaboration, HMS-iCGD’s
mission to enhancing genomic medicine globally is strengthened by connecting
various countries with resources made accessible by n-Lorem and Mass General
Brigham that may otherwise be challenging for patients who may benefit from
this research and drug development locally.
